Tally Software Services is the yearly subscription that sits alongside your perpetual licence. It covers product updates and new releases, remote access to your data, online data synchronisation between branches, and Tally.NET services.
The licence keeps working if TSS lapses — this is not a kill switch. What stops is updates. That distinction matters more in Oman right now than it has for years, because Fawtara e-invoicing support will reach businesses through TallyPrime product releases. A company sitting on a lapsed TSS when its e-invoicing phase begins is a company doing an emergency upgrade under deadline.
Migration, customisation and extended AMC are quoted separately and scoped in writing.

Prices are quoted in Omani Rial and depend on the edition, the number of sites and whether you need customisation or data migration. We give a written quote the same working day, with no obligation.
No. The licence itself is bought once and is yours permanently. The only recurring cost is TSS (Tally Software Services), an annual subscription covering product updates, remote access and Tally.NET features. TSS is optional after the first year — the software keeps running without it, you just stop getting updates.
Count how many people need to be inside Tally at the same time. One person at a time — Silver. Two or more simultaneously — Gold. The feature sets are identical. Buying Silver and later upgrading to Gold is possible, and Tally credits the Silver licence value toward the Gold price, so starting small is not a wasted purchase.
TSS is the annual subscription that delivers product updates, remote access, online data synchronisation and Tally.NET services. Renewal is not legally required, but it is strongly advisable in Oman right now: statutory features such as Fawtara e-invoicing support arrive through product updates, and a lapsed TSS means you will not receive them. Your TallyPrime keeps working on the version you have. To resume updates you renew TSS, and depending on how long it has lapsed Tally may apply a reactivation charge on top of the standard renewal. We check your licence status and tell you the exact figure before you commit.
Implementation, VAT configuration, data migration and training are quoted separately from the licence, because the effort genuinely varies — a fresh single-company setup is not the same job as migrating three years of history from another system. We scope it in writing first so there are no surprises.

If someone quotes substantially less, check what is actually being sold — a licence registered to someone else's name, an educational or trial version, or a cracked install. All three leave you without updates, without support and without a legal licence during an audit.
No, there is no free licensed version. TallyPrime can be downloaded at no cost and run in educational mode, which is intended for learning - it limits the dates you can post to and cannot maintain real books. Any site offering a free 'full' or 'cracked' TallyPrime is offering an unlicensed copy, which leaves you without updates, without support, and without a valid licence in an audit.
Yes. Oman's 5% VAT applies to the licence and to implementation services, and it is shown as a separate line on our quotes rather than folded into the headline figure. If your business is VAT-registered, that VAT is recoverable as input tax in the normal way.
Buy the edition you actually need from an authorised partner, and nothing else. Licence prices are set by Tally Solutions, so a genuine licence costs the same everywhere - there is no cheaper authorised source to find. The real saving is in choosing Silver rather than Gold when one person uses Tally at a time, and in not paying for migration or customisation you do not need. Payment is in Omani Rial against an invoice from Ample Technology LLC. There is no recurring charge beyond the optional annual TSS subscription.
